Turned Around

When I look at the lives of others, I often stop and think,
What at awful way to spend your time, your life really does stink.
When I see them using, abusing, and loosing as they go along,
What an awful way to pass your time on earth, where did you go wrong?

I see the ones, who can't live without pill or drink,
I see the ones, who were born homosexuals they think,
I see the prostitutes, criminals and crooks,
I see those I thought only existed in books.

I look at my life and say I'm glad that's not me.
In my family such things will never be.
I think back to the days when I was young,
I remember trying things I thought would be fun

I start to think of how my God saved me.
I start to look at all these others differently.
I know my God turned my life around,
I know myself in these sinful habits could've been bound.

Today when I see those who have a hard way to go,
Today when I see someone who has dropped so low,
Today I will look up and ask God to look down.
Today I will ask God to turn their lives around.

I Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified, in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the spirit of our God.
